| Housing Housing is offered by Shirt Tales, Inc. to its employees in both locations of Mackinac Island and Mackinaw City. We are under no obligation to provide housing and Shirt Tales does so to provide an added convenience for its team members. We, in return, ask that all those living in staff housing treat the facility and those people responsible for its upkeep and security with respect. Amenities - Housing is apartment-living style located directly above each shop and includes kitchen facilities equipped with a full size refrigerator, stove and oven. All necessary pots, pans, dishes and utensils are available. There is a fully furnished common living area with a television. Bathrooms are shared. Room Occupancy - During the peak of the season, room occupancy will vary from 2 to 6 so be prepared to share a room. Storage space is limited so pack carefully, bring whatever you need to make your stay comfortable but please refrain from bringing valuable items. Cost - Housing is provided at a cost of $50.00 per week. This cost includes all utility fees and is deducted from employees biweekly paycheck. Employees who will be living in Shirt Tales housing will need to provide their own pillows and bed linens. Some blankets and bedspreads may be available. Shirt Tales provides all bedding and towels to our foreign employees. Shirt Tales does NOT provide supplies for employee housing or for personal use. This includes, but is not limited to the following: Garbage bags, toilet paper, paper towels, cleaning supplies, pens, magic markers, writing pads, etc. These and other household maintenance and personal use items must be furnished by the employees. *PLEASE NOTE: In keeping with the business standard in this area, non-residents are not allowed in employee housing. Also, all residential facilities are non-smoking. |
