Shirt Tales and its exclusive screen-printed shirt designs have been well known throughout Northern Michigan since 1977.  Each of the locations features fashion aparel, accessories, and of course, Shirt Tales one-of-a-kind activewear.      The centuries-old process of screen-printing or silkscreening is much like stenciling.  Permanent, colorful inks are forced trhough the mesh of a silk screen containing part of the image onto the garment.  By repeating this procedure with a sequence of screens, each containing a different part of the image, the entire design forms systematically on the garment.      Each garment is hand-silkscreened, therefore, uniquely original.
